BPA - I can't believe where I am finding it!!?

There definitely are good reasons to be concerned about your baby ingesting BPA (there are several interesting studies that have been published looking at the effects in animals). And I would definitely agree that to limit her exposure as much as possible is a good idea (BPA hasn't always been around my parents fed me from gl baby food jars, and gl feeding bottles). I wouldn't completely overreact though to the point of throwing out your OJ containers though, but it is a good idea to limit exposure when you can. The safest route to take is to use gl containers (which are inert). I myself even worry about the drop in bags because of the plastic softeners (I will admit I could be overly cautious here though). I would double check the literature but from what I remember reading BPA is most likely to leech out when the container is heated, or in contact with acids (like when it's used in the lining of cans of tomatoes for example) so I wouldn't worry about things like your plastic ware. I hope this helps. People will always say well people are overreacting and everything is toxic, but things are also quite different then they were 20 years ago and the cancer rates are rising even though we have improved preventative care so you have to wonder what we're exposing ourselves to.

Looking at this, you are eating 1300-1400 calories a day along with exercise, you are having a net total of 750 for days when you burn 650 through exercise. This is way way too low. When you don't eat enough, your body thinks its starving and will not dig into a deeper hole if it loses more weight. If you are burning 650 calories through exercise, then for that day you should be eating 1850 calories to get your net total of 1200. hello, i have an lg 20x external super multi dvd rewriter ge20 as my dvd burner and power producer as my burning software. when i download a movie on ares that is only 700mb and only 1 hour and 40 minutes long, and i put it onto power producer, it shows that it is much longer and the full movie doesn't burn onto the dvd, which is 4.7gb big. I have LP in my home and if I had choice I would surely have natural. LP is more expensive by far since it is a petroleum product.ie. when gas goes up, so does LP. You have to depend on a company bring it to you. It is just as safe to use, but a lott more hle. Hope this helps.

If a builder ruins my property while working on it is he responsible for the cost of replacing it?

I had some building work done, on day one the builder pulled down the ceiling (as agreed) and black soot went everywhere. This soot sunk into two carpets and could not be hoovered up. He tried to clean one of the carpets with a vax and scrubbed it so hard he ruined the pile. I told him to leave the other carpet and get it professionally cleaned. The work is now finished and I am waiting for the carpets to be cleaned by a carpet cleaner to see if they can be restored but I fear the worse. I have not yet paid the builder for all the work, am I within my rights to withhold the money so I can use it to replace the carpets?

My granddaughter threw such a big fit when it was time to leave because she wanted to stay the night that I told her I didn't think it was a good this night, but maybe next week-end. My oldest daughter got really mad & kept saying "If you don't want her to stay the night then just say so." I finally gave in & said let her stay. Well, just as I thought, it was "grandma come her. grandma can you do this & that." Which would normally be fine, but it was my 7 yr olds birthday & I could barely watch her open her presents w/ my granddaughter around. I didn't think it was fair on her birthday. My oldes daughter doesn't realize what a big age gap there is & that I wanted my 7 yr olds party to be special, not spent catering to the 5 yr old all night. She ended up crying & wanting to go home around 3AM..... Am I right or wrong for doing this?? I don't want to be the mean grandma....

The key factors to p SFAS (and get accepted) is an ability to adapt, a willingness to learn, and most importantly being a team player. Ranger School and IOBC as an Infantry officer is great training and will help you understand more about the job of an SF Officer. I am an Infantry NCO and I can attest that the majority of the officers in Infantry Branch are awesome compared to other combat arms branches and service and support branches.

My friend always wants to do something?

We're quite close and we've known each other a few years now because of school. I'm quite shy around people I don't know but I'm very outgoing and comfortable with those I am close to. I never really noticed it before but my friend always wants to do something. Are all religions that involve happiness really the same if taken metaphorically?

I was thinking, look at Christianity or Buddhism. The object is to do something like get into heaven, or reach Nirvana. When looked at metaphorically, aren't they the same thing? Heaven is the place you go when you have been a good person, and realized happiness. Your soul was completely uncorrupt. With Nirvana, you reach that eternal happiness and you separate yourself from material needs. It's the same thing really. that isn't in the name of love (not for creation) is a "sin." It's a material need and you do it to satisfy yourself. If you don't commit any sins, you get to heaven. Same with Nirvana; if a sin in a metaphor for a material need, and you reach that enlightenment that prevents you from sinning, you have reached that eternal happiness. This made me think, heaven isn't a place you go after you die, it's a place you go when you are alive! When you free yourself from the desire to sin, you are eternally happy. 99% of people die in hell. Only the 1% that truly makes that enlightenment make it to heaven before they die. Heaven, Nirvana, and happiness are all the same thing when I talk. Sins are things that keep you from being truly happy. It's all metaphorical, and it's all saying the same thing. What do you guys think?

How do I make a quilt with cut out square portions of my kids old clothes?

You can make a quilt by hand but it will take you a good bit of time. The easiest way for you to make it with your kids old cloths would be to cut blocks (4x4, 5x5 or whatever size you would like). You can keep it simple by doing just the blocks or you can put a border of another material to frame the blocks. It really it a creative endeavor that you make to your likening. I must say that a sewing machine really helps if you can borrow one. I have done a crib quilt by hand and machine and that took approximately a month. I have started a queen size quilt, which I am still working on, that I used a machine to put all the blocks together but I am hand quilting all the rest. Long process :) As for materials that you will need: a backing fabric, batting for in between the front and back pieces, binding for the edge, and a rotary cutter and mat are really helpful. There are many really good books out there for the basics too. You could also take an introductory cl...I did. It was really helpful and I found out that I like it alot. Good luck!

"IF" a creator do exists. You know how in religions they portray the Creator as something that's perfect right? I was thinking why would anyone create anything, it cannot be without some sort of inclination, or reason. Nothing is done without either desire or necessity. Since the omnipotent Creator can neither desire nor feel necessity because he is "perfect" and "complete" in himself and cannot want or need anything outside his own self. Basically what I'm saying is if somthing desires something it means it's lacking something right and something that's perfect and complete cannot lack anything. If The creator needed to make us then that's an necessity and if the creator wanted then that's a desire. U feel me, Maybe religion is wrong, I say that because how can somthing imperfect tell other imperfect things what's perfect? My baby is 9 weeks 2 weeks ago she was going to bed at 9:30 and waking up sometimes after 12 if not then between1-2, then again at 4, and at 6 and just before 8. Then for the last week for the first 3 nights she was drinking her last bottle(4 ounces) at 9:30 so she would be out for the count and asleep between 10-10:30 and wouldn't wake up till 4am then for the following 2 days same thing but she didn't get up until 5:50 and 6am and today same thing but she slept until 6:45am I stopped waking her up every 2-3 hours after the first 4-5 weeks bec she wouldnt want to get up and would fall back asleep leaving almost a full bottle to toss away after 2 hours so I figured if she's hungry she will wake up and let he house know about it and so is it ok at 9 weeks for her to sleep through that long

My dog is constipated and in pain.?

I have a 4 year old pit and before you guys go off about why I havent taken him to the vet, well today is friday and they close at 4 and I got home at 6ish pm. I quickly got him more water which he already had but hes been drinking water like crazy.
