GIRLS, can your feelings change?

my ex loved me for 9 years, but i put her through alot, never cheated but wouldnt commit back to her after we broke up. and now that she is starting to move on i want her back and now she tells me she is unsure. so can you love someone for that long and go through this stage here were she isnt sure and doesn't want to run right back to me, but eventually realize that she does love me? or have i lost her forever. she sys she wants to be friends for now and a part of her does want this but she just isnt sure right now? can these feelings go away
