Need help losing weight. Can someone please help me?

For your exercise plan, you need to be exercising very often and exerting yourself as much as possible. Kayaking should be very good exercise, but make sure to include other exercises for lower body fitness. Running is excellent for you, and the elliptical should help a lot. For food, I would suggest investing in a healthy eating cookbook. Whatever you do, make sure you eat plenty. You should be eating five small meals a day, and only when you are hungry. You need to be eating or your body will just store any fat you ingest, but do not eat huge servings or when you are not hungry. Do not eat out of habit or boredom. You should be eating plenty vegetables, fruits, and meats, even seafood, every day. My friend lost tons of weight when he cut wheat out of his diet. This means limit yourself a lot on baked goods, eat only pasta rice and bread that are whole grain. You should not be eating a lot of bread every day, this includes cereal as well. For breakfast, eat eggs or low fat breakfast meat, omelets with peppers or even jelly (check the sugar content) All processed foods should be very limited. Anything like potato chips, candy, crackers, and ice cream should be considered a rare treat. I think its great that you are taking the initiative to change your life, and even your family's.
