Help with a relationship?

A year or so ago I met a girl named Veronica, she was my old teacher's daughter. Eventually we became friends over the internet and I really like her. She likes allot of the things I like and we get along well and stuff. She seems really busy, and whenever I ask her to do something at lunch-break or whatever she is too busy to show up. I'm in grade 8 and she's in grade 9. I wanna ask her on a date but I'm not really sure how, any suggestions?
