Shouldn't there be a way to make sure people don't get points for stupid answers?

It's pretty much at the point where I am not coming in here anymore. I can't believe some of the idiotic answers I get and that I see in yahoo answers. I asked for good basketball books and tried to cover my bases with "please, no guesses or suggestions where to look, I want specific books" and I get answers like "Michael Jordan and other players." Some of these buffoons who just jump in and respond with anything to get two points need to not get any points. Shouldn't there be a way to make sure these morons don't get their points? If I delete the question, does their points get removed? It seems this whole thing is about 99% illiterate children.
