Many people who commit dreadful crimes against humanity, are actually very fond of other animals (i.e. dogs)?

Adolf Hitler used to hug children...he was a loving man...but also a psychopath...I don't know where you are getting your statistics from. Not all criminals love dogs, and those that do probably are so insecure about themselves that they need a minion or friend that will always be their by their side.
