How can citizens of the United States express their hatred for our country, and yet refuse to leave?

I just don't understand how people can say they don't live in a free country, and say how much they HATE it here, but won't even consider leaving. If you would mention leaving to them, they play it off and call you bigot, or close-minded. So what do they really looking for? I know many people who say how much they LOVE America, and leave to protect it..
